Day 28 - Four weeks old now.

The spots are mostly complete, found a blue worm & hedgehog toy and discovered real food.  I also realized that Troi's name is spelled with an "i" and not a "y".

Chow Time - Troi wears her dinner well doesn't she?

Everybody dig in!!!

A nap with Mom

We love our blue worm, he's such a snuggle buddy.

Beverly

Troi really didn't want to do this.

That's all for now.  I hope to have some outside shots soon but mother nature hates me.  When the pups were too young to be outside it was nice but now that they are older and ready to be out and having fun it's too hot.  Add that to the fact that we haven't gotten significant rain all summer and when I wanted to build a play pen for the puppies I was rained out 2 Saturdays in a row.  Mother nature hates me.

Now that we have our eyes open we are starting to explore a bit.

But when all is said and done there's nothing like a nice nap.

Day 11

This has been a week of eating, sleeping and growing.  Here's several pictures I took this week at random.  If you look closely you'll see the first signs of the spots coming out.

Fiona looks so happy with her babies.

Time for a bath

A late night snack

Mom's off taking a break.

Another visit to the milk bar, never say never again.

Now here are some new head shots and and a few other pictures we took today.  Notice how much bigger they are now relative to my hands.  When they were born they weighed from 9 to 12 1/4 ounces and today they weighed from 1 pound 6 1/4 to 1 pound 12 1/8 ounces.  It takes a lot of trips to the milk bar to gain weight like that.

Finished shopping heading to the check out.

Nap time, see the spots?

One more trip to the milk bar.

That's all for now.  The pups should be getting their eyes open in the next few days.  Then they will start exploring and playing with each other.  Additionally in the next week you will begin to see the spots quite clearly so there will be more pictures.

Day 3

Yesterday was a busy day for the pups with a visit to the vet and the start of the Super Puppy exercises.

Vet Visit

Fiona and the pups went to the vet yesterday to get a quick check up and for the pups to have their dew claws removed.  The doctor gave everyone a clean bill of health and we scheduled the next visit to get the pups their first shots.

Super Puppy Exercises

I began giving the puppies the Super Puppy Exercises yesterday.  These are a series of neurological stimulation exercises that are designed to get the neurological system into action earlier than normally expected.  The benefits of early stimulation were shown to be improved cardio vascular performance, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress and greater resistance to disease.

Day 2

Turns out getting those head shots of the pups is a bit more difficult than I imagined.  I finally managed to succeed today so here they are:

First the 2 girls -

Girl 1

Girl 2

Now the boys -

Patch Boy 1

Patch Boy 2

And now the other four boys -

Boy 3

Boy 4

Boy 5

Boy 6

There they are.  I hope you like the pictures.  We are going to call this the Star Trek litter and eventually name the puppies after characters from the various series of Star Trek.

More to come.  Tomorrow looks to be a very busy day for the pups.
